Last Updated: May 7, 2026
Overview
We believe your data belongs to you. You have the right to request the deletion of your account and all associated data at any time. This page provides instructions on how to exercise this right in compliance with Google Play and Apple App Store policies.
Warning: Irreversible Action
Account deletion is permanent. Once your account is deleted, we cannot recover your transactions, budgets, account balances, or profile information. All data is immediately and permanently purged from our active databases.
Method 1: In-App Deletion (Recommended)
The fastest way to delete your account is directly through the Savio app:
- Open the Savio app on your device.
- Navigate to the Settings screen (cog icon).
- Scroll down to the Danger Zone section.
- Tap on Delete Account.
- Confirm the deletion in the pop-up alert.
Your data will be instantly deleted, and you will be logged out.
Method 2: Email Request
If you have already uninstalled the app or cannot access your account, you can request account deletion via email:
- Send an email to saviobudget@gmail.com.
- Subject line: Account Deletion Request.
- Please include the email address associated with your account.
For security reasons, we may require you to verify your identity before processing the request. Email requests are typically processed within 5-7 business days.
Data Subject to Deletion
When you delete your account, the following data is permanently removed:
- Personal Profile: Name, email address, and authentication credentials.
- Financial Records: All transaction history, budget cycles, and categories.
- Account Links: Information about linked wallets, cards, and balances.
- Goal Tracking: Your savings goals and progress records.
Anonymous technical logs and aggregated, non-identifiable usage statistics may be retained for performance optimization and security purposes, as outlined in our Privacy Policy.
Data Retention Period
Once a deletion request is confirmed (either in-app or via verified email), the data is removed from our active production databases immediately. Backups containing this data are typically rotated and overwritten within 30 days.
